Caliber is looking for an experienced and driven Finance Manager to join our team locally in Phoenix, AZ.
The Finance Manager will be essential in supporting the strategic business and financial planning process. You will be heavily integrated into the various finance needs such as financial modeling, data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Qualified candidates will have a strong financial analysis background and robust Excel modeling experience.
This role will have high visibility to the senior leadership of a public company and your work will have a direct impact on the ongoing business strategy. You will be part of a growing department that offers one on one mentorship from a highly experienced leader that will support career growth and advancement within.

Essential Functions for this Role:
 
  • Be an Excel savant, owning Caliber’s business model.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, including scenario modeling, asset and fund level builds, and trend analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support key decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain ad hoc financial models and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and assumptions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas of improvement.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Provide support in evaluating and analyzing investment opportunities, including financial due diligence, ROI analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to management, offering proactive solutions and strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and changes in accounting standards that may impact financial analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, as assigned by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
               
Ideal Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field of study (Finance or Accounting preferred).
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills required.
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience with Planning, Reporting, BI and visualization systems required.
  • Previous corporate finance experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use best judgement to work through challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to processes and deal with ambiguity.
  • Clear, effective oral and written communication skills are required - must be careful listener and clear communicator.


Physical Demands: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. The team member frequently communicates with internal team members, investors and vendors. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and printer. Occasionally moves items up to 50 lbs. for various projects.
